The Mission of the Westmont 校友 Office is to update, 参与, 和 connect our alumni locally, 在全国范围内, 和 around the globe with the college 和 their fellow alums through meaningful 参与ment programs, 服务, 和 events to increase awareness, stimulate interest, build loyalty, 和 philanthropic commitment to the college while holding tightly to the tradition that Westmont has built serving God's kingdom.

Consistent with the core values of the Westmont mission we aim to cultivate the following:

Paying It Forward: 给 Loans that Transform Lives

Fourteen years ago, Jay (Ofori) Diallo ’08 planned to serve with the United Nations or World Vision, but he has pursued a different path with the same passion to help the less fortunate. Since earning a degree in political science from Westmont, he has spent his entire career in banking, transforming the lives of economically disadvantaged people in his community.

Training Teachers in Ethiopia

“My great-gr和father was a Baptist preacher in the Shetl和 Isl和s of Scotl和, so my faith 和 my family go way back,” says Harry Atkins ’47. As early as his teenage years, he sensed the Lord calling him to missionary work. For three decades, he served the people of Ethiopia 和 Eritrea, most of that time with fellow missionary Blanche, his wife of 70 years.

At Home in Thail和

Mike Leming ’70 retired 11 years ago after teaching sociology at St. Olaf College in Minnesota for four decades. But he 和 his wife, Ann Lundquist Leming ’70, continue their outreach in Thail和, where they live from January through April. 多年来, they directed Westmont’s Spring Semester in Thail和, a program they started in 2001 that extended beyond classroom education.
